We went to Mobile World Congress this year in Barcelona and got to see the usual phones, tablets and other devices.. however there were some new technologies that stood out from waterproofing your phone to controlling lights in your house. Some highlights:

The Android booth was fantastic with great demonstrations of products as well as entertainment such as a slide in the centre of the booth and a cafe area where you could get smoothies and Android sandwich ice-creams.

This 41-megapixel camera smartphone really showed me that the iPhone has a long way to go with the camera function. The quality of the pictures were excellent when I directly compared them and the sound quality was outstanding.
